Southern Hills GC is located off I-75 20 miles south of Warner Robbins on the west side of the Ocmulgee River.

The layout is partially through a residential development over varying degrees of elevation change along tree lined fairways with water hazards on half of the holes in addition to a generous amount of sand. There's a good mix of challenging risk/reward options, the par 3s range from short to long, a couple of the par 5s are reachable in two, and several of the par 4s may yield scoring opportunities. There's four sets of tees, the tips play to 6,741 yards, 72.7/131, course/slope ratings, designed by Mike Young.
