Southern Hills is located 50 miles south of Rapid City just south of Custer State Park in Hot Springs.

Don't be fooled by the yardage, this is an outstanding golf course and very challenging with narrow, tree lined fairways and approaches. The layout provides for varying degrees of topography change of 380 feet overall with elevated tees, doglegs, water hazards, sand bunkers, and blind shots in a scenic, natural setting. It's a par 70 layout and 5,905 yards from the tips, 69.6/131, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees with recent design work by Richard Phelps.
