Spring Creek is midway between Chicago and the Quad Cities, just off I-80 at exit 70, which borders the Interstate to the south.

The course is a parkland layout flowing along tree-lined fairways over rolling terrain. Spring Creek and a large lake provide water hazards in play on eight holes and minimal sand traps mostly greenside. From the tips, it's 6,614 yards, 71.9/125, course/slope ratings, and three shorter tee boxes, designed by Ken Killian and Dick Nugent.
