Stonebridge is on the north side of Rome off US 27 to the west within a residential development in the foothills of the Appalachians.

The layout was carved through the forest with a number of challenging holes over and alongside a lake and several streams with a generous amount of sand bunkers throughout the fairways and guarding the greens. The course was designed by Arthur Davis in 1994 and plays to 6,732 yards, 72.7/130, course/slope ratings from the championship tees with three shorter sets of tees.
