Stonegate is 15 minutes northeast of Muskegon off US 31 at MI 120 then a few miles east to Sweeter Road.

The course is carved through a large, wooded tract of land in the Manistee National Forest along isolated and unique fairways. The routing is over rolling hills with creeks, wetlands, sand bunkers, and trees lining the fairways and defending the greens. The back tees play to 6,769 yards, 72.0/135, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees available, designed by Pat Grelak in 2004.
