Sultan's Run is named for the World Champion Saddlebred Supreme Sultan, who once roamed this land located in Jasper, northeast of Evansville and southwest of Indianapolis, a bit in the middle of nowhere.

The golf course is a scenic and hilly southern Indiana layout, with every hole unique as it's routed through tree-lined fairways. Multiple water hazards are in play, in addition to a voluminous amount and variety of sand bunkers along the landing zones and defending the greens. Architect Tim Liddy was commissioned to redesign the course in 1996. From the Black tees, it's 6,859 yards, 73.4/136 course/slope ratings, with three shorter tees.
