Sunday River is a four-season resort in the town of Newry, 80 miles north of Portland.

The golf course has a mountain-style layout with impressive elevation change over sloping, steep fairways, yet ample landing areas between the trees. The views here are stunning on a clear day across Jordan Bowl through the Sunday River Valley to the Mahoosuc Range, including Old Spec, the third-highest peak in Maine. Each hole is along unique and isolated fairway corridors of the forest on the hillside of the ski area, with a generous amount of fingered sand bunkers along the fairways and guarding the greens. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr and plays to 7,130 yards, 75.3/150, course/slope ratings with three shorter tee boxes.
