Sweetbriar is on the west side of Cleveland in Avon Lake at Krebs and Jaycox Roads, just off I-90/Rt 2 with the 9-hole Sweetbriar and the 18-hole Legacy.

Sweetbriar is a parkland design along tree-lined fairways with a few lakes and streams over mostly level terrain. It's generally more playable at 2,797 yards from the blue tees, with two shorter tees, designed by Ron Palmer. The Legacy is longer and has a more challenging layout. It traverses narrow, tree-lined fairways bordering numerous water hazards and wetlands with sand traps along the fairways and greens. It's 6,634 yards from the tips, 71.4/121, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Don Childs
