The Taos CC is on the southwest side of Taos off NM 68 at 7,000 feet above sea level.

The golf course is partially within a residential development over rolling terrain bordered by natural desert, sagebrush, arroyos, and ridges with endless mountain and valley views in a scenic setting. The landing areas are forgiving off the tee, with various pot and conventional sand bunkers defending the fairways and the generous greens of varying shapes. The course measures 7,302 yards from the back tees, 73.1/129, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Jep Willie.
