The Bandit is located in New Braunfels on the east side of the Guadalupe River midway between I-10 and I-35 on FM 725.

The routing is very scenic with numerous holes along Long Creek and Lake McQueeney providing 13 holes overall with water hazards in play and 64 sand bunkers. The holes are named describing the challenge ahead, ie, Blind Date, Too Much To Soon, Stonewall, and R.I.P. The Bandit's back nine is more engaging than the front with elevation change, blind shots, water on all by one hole, and numerous doglegs. From the back tees the course plays to 6,928 yards, 73.6/133, course/slope ratings with four shorter tee boxes, designed by Keith Foster in 1997.
