The Breakers Golf Club

The Ocean Course is at the Breakers Hotel on Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway in Palm Beach, while the Rees Jones course is 13 miles west on Okeechobee west of the Florida Turnpike.

The Ocean Course is set in the front yard of the Breakers Hotel, and a traditional parkland layout along broad, native tree-lined fairways with the wind off the Atlantic is always a factor. There's water in play on 9 holes and sand traps along the fairways and securing the modest raised greens. It's a short layout of 6,167 yards from the back tees, 68.1/127, course/slope ratings, and a par of 70. It was built in 1896 and is Florida's oldest 18-hole course, originally designed by Alex Findlay with touches by Donald Ross and redesigned by Brian Silva in 2000 and Rees Jones in 2018.

The Jones course is within an upscale residential development. It moves over slightly undulating terrain along native tree-lined corridors, with water features on most of the holes. While the fairways' landing zones and green approaches are somewhat accommodating, there is a generous amount of sand bunkering. There are five tees from 5,109 yards to 7,104 yards, and the middle tees play to 71.2/1345, course/slope ratings.
