The Club at Crested Butte is part of a resort development on the east side of Crested Butte.

The course climbs through an upscale, residential community at 9,000+ feet elevation with the view from the first tee down the valley and of surrounding summits of the Elk Mountains, Mount Baldy, and Mount Bellview. The front nine is basically over level ground while the backside provides significant elevation change and stunning views. The fairways are bordered by tall fescue and sagebrush but wide enough off the tee with aspens and pines trees scattered throughout. The middle tees at 6,368 yards, 68.8/120, course/slope ratings and quite fair given the altitude advantage, a Robert Trent Jones, II layout from the mid-1980s.
