The Emerald Golf Club is located just off US 70/17 on the west side of New Bern within a residential community.

The layout is parkland style journeying through pine tree lined fairways with numerous water hazards, a series of doglegs, and well bunkered fairways and greens. It was designed by Rees Jones and is 6,924 yards, 73.8/129, course/slope ratings from the tips with four shorter tees, designed by Rees Jones.
