The Golf Club of Texas is 20 miles west of downtown San Antonio just off US 90 to the north at the Texas Research Parkway.

The golf course traverses a large, natural tract of land with suitable separation between the holes. The layout has parkland and links elements as moves over broad, undulating fairways with numerous water hazards in addition to a variety of conventional, pot, and waste bunkers. There's four sets of tees overall with the tips playing to 7,022 yards, 73.1/135, course/slope ratings, initially designed by Lee Trevino in 2000 with a redesign by Roy Bechtol in 2014.
