Prairie Hills is about 20 minutes north of Kearney south of Pleasanton on NE 10.
The layout is a blend of prairie links and parkland holes with scattered trees along the fairways lined with tall fescue. There's only two holes with water in play and a modest amount of sand bunkers, mostly greenside. Each hole is completely isolated and unique with the entire golf course surrounded by rolling farmland, save for a few homes. There's three sets of tees, the tips play to 6,277 yards, 69.2/121, course/slope ratings, designed by John and Mike Weber in two phases, the first nine opening in 1982, the second in 1996.
