The Hideout is in Monticello in the far southeastern part of Utah due south of Moab and just west of the Colorado line on Route 191.

The course jaunts along the foothills of the Blue Mountains at an elevation of 7,000 feet with 360 degree views of the mountains and Abajo Peak. The fairways are mostly tree lined and bordered by Pinyon pine, aspen, and cottonwood trees with substantial elevation change from tee to green. The course was designed by Forest Richardson and plays to 6,654 yards, 71.1/134, course/slope ratings from the gold tees with four shorter tees.
