The Idaho Club is on the north side of Lake Pend Oreille within an upscale residential community in Sandpoint.

This target layout is a challenging test from virtually any tee box as it tracks over a series of elevation changes, settling down on level terrain during the closing series of holes. Sand is abundant in play, wetlands and ponds from the adjoining Lower Pack River are present throughout, and many forced carries to span. Jack Nicklaus designed it with four sets of tees overall, from 5,130 yards to 7,089 yards, with 74.6/148 course/slope ratings off the back tees.
