The Lodge at Cloudcroft is located in the Lincoln National Forest, four hours south of Albuquerque and one hour northeast of Las Cruces. It is a Victorian-style resort in a scenic setting surrounded by mountains, aspen, and pine trees.

The golf course is a true gem, and while only nine holes, it's worth going around twice. It's about 9,000 feet above sea level, with some dramatic tee shot values and vertical drops to narrow fairway corridors bordered by numerous ponds leading to the modest greens, some of which are defended by sand bunkers. It's 2,387 yards, 31.5/97, course/slope ratings off the tips with one shorter tee.
