The McLemore is set atop Lookout Mountain located 25 miles south of Chattanooga within an upscale residential development with a stay and play program through the Curio Hilton onsite.

The Highlands layout is the reconstituted Canyon Ridge golf course with scenic and stunning views throughout the round. The unique and isolated fairways tumble up and down the topography along corridors framed by boulders and native grasses leading to the dramatic finish at 18 on the edge of a cliff 2,300 feet above sea level. There are multiple sets of tee boxes, the tips play to 7,005 yards, 74.0/140, course/slope ratings, designed by Rees Jones and Bill Bergin.

The Keep, a Rees Jones/Bill Bergin design, sits atop Lookout Mountain on a gently sloping plateau. There are five streams and a number of waterfalls scattered along the generous fairways bordered and interrupted by rock outcroppings and boulders featuring 1 1/2 miles of cliff edge borders.
