The Nightmare is a sister course to the Dream at West Branch, just off I-75, halfway between Bay City and Grayling.

The course is a parkland-style layout over rolling topography along vast, tree-lined fairways. There are five water hazards in play in addition to a generous amount of sand bunkers along the fairways and securing the massive, green complexes. It plays to 7,020 yards from the tips, 73.9/132, course/slope ratings with three shorter tee, designed by Jeff Gorney.
