Thief River Golf Club is on the north side of Thief River Falls on Highway 32, about an hour east of Grand Forks.

The course is a parkland-style layout that journeys over level terrain on either side of the Thief River in a scenic and quiet setting. It crosses the River multiple times, producing several forced carries. The fairways are bordered by trees and a moderate amount of sand bunkers, mostly positioned on the greenside. The course plays to 6,336 yards from the tips, has 70.5/120 course/slope ratings, and has two shorter tees designed by Tim Haugen.
