Timberline Golf Club is about 40 minutes south of Birmingham in Calera at exit 228 off I-65.

It's a hilly, tree lined layout in a residential community requiring course management rather than length. The fairways tend to be narrow with sand bunkers at the landing zones and guarding the greens along with water hazards on five holes. It was designed by Jerry Pate and plays to 6,745 yards, 72.3/126, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tee boxes.
