The golf course is routed through a residential development and an open, “links” style design with 120+ sand bunkers, six water hazards, and native grass areas along the fairways and greens. The layout was built into the existing lay of the land in the rolling hills of the St Croix River Valley with a wide open feel and views for miles. From the back tees it's 7,034 yards, 74.3/136, course/slope ratings with six shorter tees, designed by Tom Lehman with Dana Fry and Dr. Michael Hurdzan.
