Tubac is 45 minutes south of Tucson between Rio Rico and Green Valley just off I-19. It's a 27 hole layout and part of a classic Arizona resort on the Otero Ranch in the Santa Cruz River Valley with views of the Tumacacori and Santa Rita Mountain ranges from the course.
The course is notable since it's where several scenes from the movie 'Tin Cup' were filmed. The Rancho nine is where the infamous, 3 wood carry over the lake was shot and marked by a plaque on #4. The Anza nine is a parkland style layout with a par 3, island green at the 9th. The Rancho nine has a couple of holes over the Santa Cruz River and is the most scenic of the three nines. The Otero nine wanders through some of the residential units along the course and has a more traditional feel. There's four sets of tees overall with the tips playing to: Otero-3,241 yards; Anza-3,194 yards; Rancho-3,629 yards. The course/slope ratings for the various rotations: Otero/Anza-69.9/124, course/slope ratings; Anzo/Rancho-71.5/127; Rancho/Otero-71.7/131. The original 18 holes were designed by Red Lawrence, the newer nine by Ken Kavanaugh in 2006.
