The University's golf course is on the west side of campus off Nez Pierce with views of the surrounding Palouse countryside.

The golf course is a hilly, traditional layout providing a variety of holes with the the hilly and sloping fairways rarely offering a level lie. The front nine is somewhat open while the back side becomes more parkland style along narrow, tree lined fairways with a strong finish known as "Heartbreak Ridge". It plays to 6,602 yards, 72.4/136, course/slope ratings from the tip with two shorter tees, designed by Francis L. James in 1933.
