The Venango Inn Golf Course is about 15 minutes north of Meadville and 30 minutes south of Erie off I-79 between Saegertown and Venango on the west side of French Creek.

The golf course wanders over relatively level terrain along fairways bordered by scattered trees. There's a small stream traversing the middle of the layout with 25 sand traps defending half of the mid-sized, oval greens. There's four sets of tees overall with the tips playing to 6,202 yards, 68.7/112, course/slope ratings, designed by Paul Erath in the mid-1960s.
