The golf course is a challenging, links style layout with open fairways bordered by heavy rough and natural vegetation and is notable for its native cholla cacti which resemble canes. It was designed by Arthur Hills and Keith Foster and plays to 7,147 yards, 72.0/134, course/slope ratings from the back tees with three shorter tees with the wind always a factor.
