The Wellington Golf Club is 35 miles south of Wichita off I-35 at US 160 on the west side of Wellington.

The layout is a classic parkland design with fairways defined by old-growth hardwood trees over generally level terrain. There's a stream snaking through the eastern third of the course and a couple of ponds impacting play as well. The challenge lies in the small, round, and raised greensites well-defended by sand bunkers. There are four sets of tees from 5,565 yards to 6,290 at the tips, 70.4/149, course/slope ratings, designed by A. Nelson in 1919.
