The Wellsville Country Club is 12 miles south of the Southern Tier Expressway on the north side of the village of Wellsville in the Appalachian Mountains

The layout is a traditional parkland design with fairways defined by trees and the Genesse River bisecting the golf course from north to south. The routing is over level terrain along numerous slight doglegs with sand bunkers, mostly greenside. The golf course has been around since 1911, with the original design intact, and plays to 6,253 yards from the back tees, 70.7/124 course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
