Westminster National is 40 miles northwest of downtown Baltimore on the north side of Westminster on Littlestown Pike.

The layout meanders along rolling terrain surrounded by farmland and stands of mature hardwoods. The broad and narrow, fairway corridors are defined by trees with several ponds and a stream in play and a liberal amount of sand bunkers distributed along the landing zones and defending the greens. It's a par of 71 at 5,945 yards, 69.2/120, course/slope ratings off the tips with three shorter tees, designed by Paul Hicks.
