Westwood is a municipal golf course owned and operated by the City of Newton on the west side of town on 1st Ave West in the country.

It's a straightforward and playable, parkland layout along tree lined fairways with water hazards in play on multiple holes and sand bunkers mostly around the greens. The original front side from the 1920s is over hilly land with a few doglegs and blind shots while the newer backside borders a creek and a pond on the western boundary with water on five of the holes and more sand traps in play. It's fairly short at 6,376 yards from the back tees, par 71, 70.5/120, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, with updated design work by Erik Larsen.
