Westwood is a municipal golf course owned and operated by the City of Newton. It is located on the west side of town, on 1st Ave West, in the country.

It's a straightforward and playable parkland layout along tree-lined fairways with water hazards in play on multiple holes and sand bunkers, mostly around the greens. The original front side from the 1920s is over hilly land with a few doglegs and blind shots, while the newer backside borders a creek and a pond on the western boundary with water on five holes and more sand traps in play. It's fairly short at 6,376 yards from the back tees, par 71, 70.5/120, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, with updated design work by Erik Larsen.
