Whispering Creek is on the southeast side of Sioux City, off Morningside Avenue.

The golf course is partially within a residential development with a few holes over a slight elevation change. It's mostly open but with scattered trees along the fairways, ponds, or the pesky Whispering Creek in play on all but four holes and various sand bunkers along the fairways and around the greens. It can play from 5,100 to 7,175 yards from the back tees, 74.9/133, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, designed by Todd Sapp in 2001.
