Whispering Springs is on the east side of Fond Du Lac within a residential development with homes along half the holes.

The golf course is parkland style layout with a blend of narrow, fairway corridors through the woods while the balance are broad with scattered trees at the borders. There's several water hazards in play in addition to a generous amount of sculptured sand traps at the landing zones and guarding the greens. There's five sets of tees, the whites play to 6,140 yards, 70.1/125, course/slope ratings, designed by Bob Lohmann.
