Whispering Winds is on the west side of Clovis on the Cannon AFB.

The golf course is a traditional layout winding along tree lined fairways over level terrain with desert at the borders. There's multiple ponds, numerous slight doglegs, but a minimum of sand traps, and is very straightforward and playable overall. It's only 6,032 yards from the men's tees for a par of 70, 66.9/104, course/slope ratings.
