White Pine is the only golf option for miles of Nevada desert. It is located on a flat tract of land on the north side of Ely on Great Basin Highway, offering views of the Schell Creek Mountain Range on the east and the Egan Mountain Range to the southwest.

The layout is wide open to the elements, with scattered trees along the fairways and desert terrain at the borders. Murry Creek cuts across several holes and a minimal amount of sand bunkers are the primary hazards. It's a Bob Baldock design and plays to 6,843 yards from the tips. The middle tees play to 6,562 yards, 69.1/113, course/slope ratings.
