Whitepath is up in the Chattahoochee National Forest in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia 90 miles north of Atlanta and 75 miles from Chattanooga between Ellijay and Blue Ridge.

The golf course is a mountain style layout etched through the deep woods over varying degrees of elevation change along unique and isolated fairways. The fairways are bordered by Whitepath Lake and the Ellijay River in addition to several other creeks and ponds with sand bunkers sprinkled about the fairways and greens. It was designed by Rocky Roquemore and from the tips is 6,400 yards, 68.6/126, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
