The Whitetail Golf Course is between Eau Claire and Menomonie off I-94 at exit 52 to the north in Colfax.

The layout is in a natural setting and features a relatively wide open start to the front nine while the backside narrows considerably. It's eminently playable save for water features on 1/3 of the holes and a sparing use of sand bunkers. Off the back tees it plays to 6,495 yards, 68.9/119, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Lyle Pelke.
