Wilson Lake is located in a cleared setting on the north side of Wilson Lake about 10 miles west of Farmington.

The golf course is a classic, Wayne Stiles layout that been restored to much the original design. It's straightforward with five parallel holes ending with a stern finish up the hill to the clubhouse. The greens are small, mushroom shaped with subtle undulations, sand bunkers are plentiful though mostly greenside, and there's a scattering of trees along the fairways with minimal rough. There's three sets of tees and for 18 holes plays to 6,202 yards, (68.4/120, course/slope ratings off the tips.
