Winnapaug is located south of Providence in Westerly off Shore Road south of the airport with a couple of holes bordering Winnapaug Pond.

The course is characterized by narrow, tree lined fairways along numerous slight doglegs with several water hazards and small, raised greens well protected by sand bunkers and collection areas. It can play to 6,361 yards, 70.6/124, course/slope ratings off the tips with two shorter tees, a classic Donald Ross layout retaining much of its original design.
