Woodlake is 45 miles northeast of Knoxville near the Kentucky border 20 miles south of the Cumberland Gap Park on the north side of Norris Lake.

The golf course is an entertaining layout traversing hilly, tree lined fairways with a couple of holes overlooking Norris Lake providing scenic views of the surrounding countryside. From the back tees the course is 6,771 yards, 72.1/127, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Chip Powell/Ed Connor in 1999.
