Yatesville is located near Louisa in the Yatesville Lake State Park in the eastern foothills of Kentucky.

The golf course was carved through the deep woods on the southeast side of Yatesville Lake with an impressive amount of elevation change from tee to green especially hole #13, a par 4 which drops 240 feet down to the fairway and is drivable. It was designed by Arthur Hills and from the tips is 6,630 yards, 70.8/144, course/slope ratings with four shorter tee boxes.
