Abacoa is at the northeast corner of I-95 and Donald Ross Blvd in Jupiter, which is partially bordering a residential development.

The course flows over rolling fairways bordered by scattered, native trees along numerous lakes and wetlands on 12 holes with a liberal dose of sand bunkers throughout the fairways' landing zones and greens. It plays to 7,200 yards from the tips, 75.0/142, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, a Joe Lee design, and one of his last openings in 2002.
