PGA National Resort & Spa

PGA National is a golf resort with four championship golf courses. It was the original home of the PGA in the 1960s. The resort also has the Staple nine-hole par 3 layout and The Match, an 18-hole, 5,744-yard layout on the former Squire course, redesigned by Andy Staples.

The Palmer was designed by Arnold Palmer. It is an open, links-style course along mounded fairways, with moderate use of sand traps and water hazards on 16 holes. Multiple sets of tees run from 4,810 yards to 7,079 yards at the tips, and the course/slope ratings are 74.6/141.

The Fazio was designed by Tom Fazio with a redesign from Tom Fazio II. The layout is the most playable at PGA National as it's routed through natural areas with water on 16 holes and 50+ sand traps of varying shapes and sizes. There are six sets of tees, with the White tees playing to 6,200 yards, 70.4/133, course/slope ratings.

The Champion was the site of the Ryder Cup in 1983, the P.G.A. Championship in 1987, the PGA Seniors' Championship from 1982 through 2000, and has been the home of the Honda Classic. The golf course is a parkland layout with ample landing zones off the tee, yet the fairways are bordered by an abundance of water hazards and sand traps. The green complexes are most generous, contoured, undulating, and well-defended. The 15th, 16th and 17th holes are known as the "Bear Trap", which Nicklaus considered a fitting finish for a layout of this prominence. There's six sets of tees with the tips at 7,045 yards, 75.2/148, course/slope ratings, the Blue tees are 6,373 yards, 71.8/138. The course was originally a George and Tom Fazio design, but it was redesigned in 1990 by Jack Nicklaus, with a second update in 2014.

The Estate course is a short drive from the resort and within a residential development. Its layout provides water hazards on every hole, with numerous forced carries and sand bunkers both along the fairways and guarding the greens. It was designed by Karl Litten and can play to 6,697 yards, 73.1/134 course/slope ratings, with five shorter tees.
