Adobe Creek is 20 minutes west of Grand Junction on I-70 at the Colorado National Monument with a total of 27 holes in a stunningly, picturesque setting on the north side of the Colorado River with the Monument as the background.
The course is an open, links style layout along fairways bordered by natural areas over generally level terrain. There's numerous water hazards in play and a moderate amount of sand traps along the fairways and guarding the greens. The Monument and Desert nines are 3,397 yards from the tips, the Mesa nine is longer at 3,783 yards, all with three shorter tees. Course/slope ratings for the various rotations: Desert/Mesa-70.2/121, course/slope ratings; Mesa/Monument-71.4/119; Desert/Monument-71.2/119. The Monument and Mesa nines were designed by Ned Wilson in the early 1990s, the Desert nine by Paul Graebner in 2001.
