The Amelia River Club adjoins the Fernandina Beach Airport to the south off A1A midway on the island.

The golf course is a parkland layout with a few holes lined by homes, but the balance are along natural corridors of tree lined fairways. There's a measured amount of sand bunkers, both conventional and pot, along the landing zones and greens and water in play on over half the holes including a semi-island green at the par 3, 17th. The holes move left or right off the tee with a couple of severe doglegs, so course management is the key to scoring here. There's five sets of tees from 4,786 yards to 6,808 yards, the middle tees play to 6,068 yards, 68.6/119, course and slope ratings, designed by Tom Jackson.
