American Dunes is the former Grand Haven GC reconstituted by Jack Nicklaus for the benefit of the Folds of Honor Foundation and is located on Lake Michigan in Grand Haven.

The layout is a result of the removal of over 2,000 trees from the former club, and the clearing of the land revealed the existence of undulating sand dunes, which are now incorporated. It has the feel of a links-style layout and is wide open off the tee, bordered by massive waste areas and conventional sand traps, yet bounded by the remaining trees and foliage on the property. There are five sets of tees overall, from 4,754 yards to 7,213 yards at the tips, with the middle, Freedom tees at 6,102 yards.
