The Meadows is located at Grand Valley State University, about 10 minutes west of Grand Rapids off Lake Michigan Drive/Route 45.

The golf course is a designated Audubon Sanctuary with a few holes bordered by trees but mostly an open, links-style layout. It flows along meadows with water and/or wetlands in play on the majority of the holes, an elaborate use of sand bunkers, and generous, well-defended greens. There are five sets of tees overall, with the middle tees playing to 5,866 yards, 68.4/121, course/slope ratings, designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan.
