Kaufman is, by some accounts, Michigan's top municipal golf course, which is quite a statement in this golf-crazed state. The golf course is on the south side of town off US 131 at 54th St to the west.

The course is carved through the forests, with ample room off the tee over rolling terrain along unique and isolated fairway corridors. Black Creek and several ponds come into play on numerous holes, and sand bunkers primarily defend the greens. It's 6,808 yards from the tips, 72.7/132, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, and a Bruce Matthews design from the early 1960s.
