The Anchorage Golf Course is located on the lower hillside of South Anchorage in the Anchorage Bowl with views of Cook Inlet, the Chugach Range, Anchorage City, and Mount McKinley.

The golf course is over rolling terrain with wide, tree lined fairways in a natural setting without homes or development It's a classic, parkland layout with sand bunkers defending the generous greens and the occasional fairway landing zones in addition to multiple water hazards. The course plays to 6,601 yards, 71.4/129, course/slope ratings from the tips with four shorter tee boxes, designed by William Newcomb.
