Moose Run is located 8 miles east of Anchorage off the Glenn Highway at the base of the Chugach Mountains and is the world's most northernmost 36 hole golf course.

Both golf courses are located in a picturesque setting with views for miles and abundant wildlife. The more compact Hill course's fairways are lined with spruce and birch trees with the front nine somewhat rolling while the back side is over generally level terrain. The original layout was designed by a Company of Combat Engineers in 1952 with the second nine added later. It plays to 6,519 yards, 70.0/120, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tee boxes.

The Creek layout is a parkland design with broad and isolated tree lined fairways over rolling terrain with Ship Creek traversing the course from north to south. The middle, white tees play to 6,173 yards, 72.3/132, course/slope ratings, designed by Robin Nelson.
